Investigators probes killer ex-cop death inside New Bilibid Prison
Jonel Nuezca Death – Officials are investigating Wednesday after Jonel Nuezca a Convicted murderer and former policeman was found unconscious inside the New Bilibid Prison and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bilibid hospital at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag, Nuezca was brought unresponsive to the NBP Hospital by his cellmates at 6:30 pm Nov 30th, 2021. His body has been sent for autopsy, “Investigation ongoing to determine if there is foul play in the incident.”
The spokesperson also added that Nuezca was with an inmate walking outside their dormitory when he collapsed.
Nuezca shot and killed his mother and son Sonya and Frank Gregorio in Paniqui, Tarlac, in December 2020 over a domestic altercation. His trial was swift, and by August 2021, he was convicted of murder and sent to Bilibid.
