Leavenworth police are investigating the death of a man who was found in his home after he was reported missing from work.
According to police, Joshua Gilson did not show up for work on Friday, prompting his employer to report him as missing.
Police said they spoke with his family and visited Gilson’s home that afternoon and spoke with his wife but were not able to search the house.
A family member called the police back to the house later in the afternoon after discovering a crime scene, according to Leavenworth police.
When police obtained a search warrant, they found Gilson deceased on the property and ruled the death a homicide.
Alexandra Gilson, 31, and Jeffery Samulczyk, 36, are both charged with first-degree murder. Alexandra is the wife of the deceased.I do not know them personally, but this is absolutely sad, his wife killed him right here in Leavenworth! Now these young babies not only lost their dad, but also their mom now too…. just sickening.
