Representative Walid Jumblatt commented on the US presidential elections, tweeting, "If I had the choice, I would have elected Bernie Sanders in the US presidential elections," spreading a picture of a voter standing bewildered behind the curtain. Jumblatt left the tweeters on his Twitter account freedom of expression, as usual, so the tweets were divided between supporters of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, while the small number caught the ridicule of Representative Jumblatt, and one of them tweeted by saying that "the world is empty of America."

It is worth noting that candidate Bernie Sanders, the former rival candidate to Hillary Clinton who was defeated in the primaries, called on American voters hours before they went to the polls to vote for Clinton and tweeted through his official account on Twitter, saying: “We need a president who brings our entire nation together. And not someone who is going to divide us.”

"Donald Trump must not be allowed to divide us," he said in another tweet.
