ACWORTH, GA – Justin Hicks, 31, and Amber Hicks, 31, were identified as the Cobb County couple who were shot and killed inside their Acworth, Georgia home by an unknown shooter overnight before their bodies were found on Thursday morning.

Justin Hicks and Amber Hicks were found dead after they were shot and killed in their home upon the arrival of the officers. The shooting happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. at 5059 Verbena Drive in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood off Bells Ferry Road. According to reports, a 2-year-old baby was located unharmed in the home and is now being cared for by a family member.

According to a preliminary investigation, the double homicide occurred between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Officers are still investigating who shot them, but there is no evidence that the suspect lived in the area. This is an ongoing investigation and there is no additional information at this time.
