We are devastated to hear about the passing away of our dear friend Justin Cosby, co-founder of Inertia Music in Australia and Director of A&R. We met Justin back in 2014 when Inertia released Ásgeir’s debut album In the Silence in Australia and we’ve worked with him and the great Inertia team ever since. Inertia (now PIAS Australia), along with Handsome Tours, did amazing things for the Ásgeir project and completely caught us off guard when we played Splendour in the Grass in front of thousands of fans during our first ever visit to Australia. Only a few months later we returned to play two sold-out shows at the Sydney Opera House. In November 2014 Justin, along with his sister, Melissa Cosby came to Iceland for Iceland Airwaves where we had great times together, taking him and others to Ásgeir’s childhood home in Laugarbakki. Justin was a kind, sweet and humble man who was in the music business for all the right reasons. He always believed in our project, through good and bad times. He was our guy, as we liked to say. We will miss him greatly and our condolences go to his family, the whole team at PIAS Australia, and his good friend and colleague Colin Daniels.
