The two-vehicle crash, which also injured two other students, occurred at around 5.15 p.m. on Saturday. One vehicle, a Honda Accord, had four teenagers. They were on their way to Hamilton Heights High School prom in Kokomo when their vehicle collided with an SUV. The two vehicles ended up in a field.
Lendon Byram, who was driving, and Kalen Hart, who was sitting in the front seat, died at the scene.
This death has caused a lot of friends and family of Hart so much hurt. It is in that mourning spirit that the concerned persons have taken to social media to share tributes to the deceased and condolences to the affected family.

PROM is supposed to be one of the best nights of your life. A celebration. A time to dance and socialize and be young. These two teens, Kalen Hart and Lendon Byram, didn’t even make it to prom. They were on their way to the prom when the crash happened and took their lives way too soon. Kalen Hart’s mother shared these pictures of Kalen and Lendon Byram. Kalen was a senior at Hamilton Heights High School and Lendon was a junior at Cathedral High School. They died in a crash Saturday while they were going to prom.
