The Aquinas community mourns the tragic loss of Karl Scheible ‘79. He was an incredible father, husband, & classmate. Karl recently served as the Class of 2020’s Commencement Speaker and his message was outstanding. Keep Karl’s family, friends, and AQ classmates in your prayers

Praying for the Scheible Family. Karl was an incredible person and had a profound impact on everyone he met. I was able to spend time with him in Austin this past Fall and it was an absolute pleasure getting to know him. Rest In Peace Karl.

I was shocked and saddened to learn that Karl Scheible has passed away. Without a doubt, Karl had the single biggest influence on me, both personally and professionally. I was privileged to have worked for him and with him for over ten years.

Karl went out of his way, everyday, to make sure those around him had the opportunity and the encouragement to succeed in life and business. I owe him an unimaginable debt – my first leadership training, senior management role, first business ownership opportunity, first sales call, tradeshow, and live customer demo, first full marathon (almost my last), first mountain climb, first trip abroad, first racing lessons at Watkins Glen (and my first sports car to boot!) – all wonderful memories thanks to Karl.

I would say, ’rest in peace’, but I never saw Karl sit still for a single moment. So, maybe, ’be at peace’ is more appropriate.

For those who didn’t know Karl, he worked and played like he drove (sun, rain, mud, or snow) – foot always on the gas. Here is one of my favorite memories of Karl (in his spare time, Karl was also a national rally car champion for VW and Audi).

I am absolutely devastated by the loss of my sales coach and mentor, Karl Scheible. He had a massive impact on me as a salesperson, since 2006, and I used his training every day. I just took an advanced refresher course with him in May and had a final private consultation with him two weeks ago. I’m stunned and speechless by the loss of this titan in the industry. #RIP

Found out today that one of Subaru’s original US Rally Team drivers, Karl Scheible, passed away in a bicycle accident over the weekend. He was from near where I grew up (Spencerport). Followed rally and the Subaru scene big time in the early 2000s and I still remember when we lost his teammate Mark Lovell in 2006. RIP Karl!

More details have not been released about this death, and actual death age and date are yet to confirmed by us. We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
