The victim has been identified as 18 year old from Barberton The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Akron Police are investigating the homicide of a male shooting victim. On Aug. 30, at approximately 10 p.m., officer’s responded to the 200 block of Lake Street for a possible shooting. When officer’s arrived at the scene they discovered the male victim lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:22 p.m. The victim has been positively identified as Kelvin Perkins-Davis, a 18 year old from Barberton. The autopsy has been completed and the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the neck. The manner of death is homicide.
