Mariam Susan Mathew Death : Authorities say 19-year-old Kerala girl identified as Mariam Susan Mathew was shot to death in Alabama Monday.
Officials say the native of Thiruvalla was sleeping in her home when bullets from the upper floor pierced through the ceiling and struck her fatally. The devastating incident occurred in Montgomery. A homicide investigation has been opened by the homicide department with the Montgomery police department.
Reverend Father Johnson Pappachan, of Malankara Orthodox Church Diocese of South-West America, in a release, confirmed the shooting death; ‘Mathew sustained bullets from the gun of an occupant on the upper floor of her house. She was declared dead on the scene’.
It is not immediately known if any arrest has been made in connection to the incident.
This incident is happening barely three after the shooting death of 56-year-old Sajan Matthew, a beauty salon owner in Dallas. Officials say an armed suspect broke into his store and shot him to death. Sajj was also a Keralite.
