Kolby L. Bracey Death – Cause of Death – Kolby L. Bracey was identified as the 22-year-old Madison man who was fatally shot at a gas station in Blooming Grove Township last weekend, the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office stated. Bracey died following a shooting at the Kwik Trip on the 4100 block of Milwaukee Street around 9:20 a.m. Sunday, 28th of November 2021.
The police identified 29-year-old Trevon L. Adams as the suspect who shot Bracey while he was sitting in his car in the gas station parking lot. Bracey tried to drive away before hitting a retaining wall. According to witnesses’ reports, Adams pulled Bracey out of the car and shot him two more times before Adams drove away in Bracey’s car. The police said on Sunday that the office believes the shooting was targeted.
The police later located a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle Adams reportedly sped off with. After many failed attempt to apprehend the suspect, Adams was later caught. Adams was charged Tuesday with one count of first-degree murder, attempted escape or evasion of officers, and seven counts of felony bail jump. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
