Lameshia Polk, a healthy 24-year-old African American lady, who graduated with honors and had just started a new job, traveled from Memphis, TN to Atlanta, GA, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Then she caught the Covid-19 virus. In a matter of 25 days after her travel, the healthy 24-year-old, who had never been hospitalized for anything, suffered heart failure, brain damage, blood clots, and failing organs. She was moved out of the COVID unit to hospice and was given a few hours to live.Lameshia’s mom tells everybody, “I say to anybody, please, please, please wear your mask. please stay out of gatherings, please wash your hands. Use hand sanitizer. Don’t go out. Don’t go out unless you have to.”
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
