Lavonte Craig Benford Death – Cause of Death – Reports says that a 19 year old identified as Lavonte Craig Benford, was discovered dead at a San Marcos apartment complex Sunday, 28th of November 2021. According to the San Marcos Police Department, they received a call to The Cottages at San Marcos around 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in regards to someone with a gunshot wound.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Benford fatally shot. He was pronounced Benford dead at the scene. Benford was not a student at Texas State University, Fox29 mentioned. Police are speaking with witnesses to find a suspect, and no arrests have been made. A homicide investigation is underway.
SMPD says this is the fourth homicide investigated by the department in 2021. A homicide investigation is underway.
