US court documents revealed that parts of the "source code" of the social networking site "Twitter" were leaked on the Internet.

Twitter asked the US District Court for the Northern District of California to issue a subpoena to GitHub, a site for exchanging and publishing code between developers, after parts of the “source code” were published in it, identifying the person who posted it, and providing data. About all users who may have viewed or downloaded the code.

While GitHub complied and removed the code, it is not clear how long the leaked code has been available online, but it appears that it was published more than two months ago.

Observers believe that the leak of the source code adds to the challenges that Twitter faces under the Musk administration, as technology companies often view this code as a secret and do not share it for fear that it may give competitors an advantage, or reveal security weaknesses.
