Tributes To Lincoln Gravel
Below are some of the statements shared across social media users’ timelines on the death of Gravel.
“Football is family but Midland is family to an even higher degree. When you lose a family member especially one so young is shakes you to your core. But in the usual Lincoln Gravel way of doing things he once again will show us how to be kind to each other. How to treat each other and come together as family. As we draw together to honor Lincoln and to share in his family’s grief, please remember his gift to us. One of appreciation for him and for each other during this time of trial. There will be so many kind words said about Lincoln and all of them will only come close to accurately describing this fine young man. He has taught us how to value life and each other. Midland Football will continue to list Lincoln on our roster until his graduation year. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”
“Heart is heavy…
30 degrees out, 1st week of track practice. Lincoln wanted to long jump, told him it was too cold and the long jump pit wasn’t ready yet. Next day he finds me at school and says, “I long jumped last night after practice,” with a huge smile on his face. Went out the next day, he spent his night after practice raking out the long jump pit on his own, just so he, his teammates, and our junior high kids could practice.
Thank you for raising a great kid Gravel family.
Rest easy Lincoln ❤️”
“Please keep the Lyon family ( Roger and Anita Benedict, Sandy Lyon and Lou Ann and Bob Gravel and Rodney and Teresa’s family) in the loss of Rodney and Teresa’s son Lincoln Gravel age 16 in a fatal car accident yesterday. Would be Lou Ann’s grandson. Please reach out to these families.”
