The St. George Theatre family is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lucille Chazanoff. Lucille was a loyal supporter of the St. George Theatre, as well as countless other Staten Island charities and organizations. Along with her husband Jay, the Chazanoffs were inaugural members of the St. George Theatre Producer’s Circle, attended many shows annually, and supported the theatre’s fundraising initiatives. Our hearts go out to Jay and her entire family during this difficult time
Richmond University Medical Center joins with everyone across Staten Island in mourning the passing of our dear friend, Lucille Chazanoff.
Lucille was a founding member of the Richmond University Medical Center Foundation and served as its treasurer. Lucille was a driving force for our hospital. Over the years, she and her husband, Jay, provided unending guidance and inspiration.
Together, and alongside their fellow Foundation members, they helped us expand our healthcare services across the borough, greatly improving the health and well-being of the community. Lucille and Jay also helped shape our hospital’s future and the future of healthcare on Staten Island through their tremendous support of our new emergency department which will be completed next year.
These are simply two examples of the indelible mark Lucille has left on Richmond University Medical Center. The full impact of what she means to everyone at our hospital simply cannot be put into words.
On behalf of everyone at Richmond University Medical Center, we extend our deepest condolences to Jay and the entire Chazanoff family and we thank Lucille for her lifetime of generosity and love for our hospital.
