The former international star, Captain Majid Abdullah, head of the Football Players Friends Charitable Association, revealed that the association enjoys good feedback, indicating that everything that pleases these players and their families will be provided, including those who lost a breadwinner and whose father died.

Majed said in an exclusive interview with “Okaz” that the association that they established with some colleagues started with old football players five or six years ago, in the areas of housing, treatment and employment, indicating that he feels a special respect for this group, as some of them are due to their giving in the stadiums. The year 1970, and many did not attend their era, and these are the foundation, and we in the association must comfort them and say thanks to them.

And the Friends Association had concluded an agreement with the Abdullah Al-Othaim Charitable Foundation and the Saudi Football Association, with the aim of establishing a charitable investment endowment for the association at a value of 10 million riyals, with the proceeds going back to the programs and activities of the association that it provides to old players and their families, and Al-Othaim announced additional support in the amount of one million riyals annually, for a period of 10 years, so that the total support provided by him to the association is 20 million riyals.
