Daddy, I will miss you so much… I’m thankful I was able to be there before your last beat… you mean the world to me, and I will make sure I stay strong and get up everytime I get knocked down like you would tell me. Red heart I know you’re with me forever. I love you.

In the fall of 1987 these 5 guys showed up on the ETSU campus and changed the course of ETSU basketball forever. They were great players but even better people, and I am proud to be their teammate and friend. We lost Major Geer this morning, the second of the group to pass away way to early. Words can’t express my sadness this evening. RIP Major
So sad to hear about the passing of Major Geer.. played basketball at East Tennessee State University in the late 80’s and early 90’s. These were the Golden Years of Buccaneer basketball. I probably attended 70% of their games as a student there..Fantastic person.. R.I.P.. and fly high brother.
Heaven gained an angel today! Major Geer, you will be missed by so many people! I’m glad you were one of the first people I met when I moved to Knoxville. You had a heart of gold and made the world a better place! BTW…thanks for trying to teach me how to eat with chopsticks! I still can’t do it! 😜 You will forever be missed! RIH
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
