A woman and a man were shot to death early Sunday morning in Richmond, deputies are now investigating the incident as a homicide.
According to Richmond Police Department, the incident happened at about 4:11 a.m. in the 2400 block of Northumberland Avenue. Officers responded to multiple shots fired reports at the scene. A man was located suffering from fatal gunshot injuries at the scene, and a woman was found with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a gunshot.
The unidentified male was pronounced dead at the scene and the unidentified woman was transported to a hospital for treatments. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
