Fitchburg shooting – Fitchburg Police are investigating a shooting incident that left a person injured Thursday evening.
Officials with the Fitchburg Police responded to a shooting incident on Woodland Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. and located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The unidentified man was transported to a Leominster hospital and in undisclosed condition. Officials say the victim was later airlifted to a hospital in Worcester for further treatment.
Multiple investigators responded and were seen working and investigating a white sedan vehicle parked nearby the scene. Later on, two vehicles were tolled from the scene by the emergency response team.
Investigation remains active. No further information was immediately made available.
