RIP Marc Zermati, who passed away yesterday. He was an instigator in the mid to late seventies, establishing the Skydog label in Paris and organizing the first-ever European punk festival in Mont-de-Marsan in 1976

Rest in peace Marc Zermati, punk pioneer and organizer of the best rock festivals of the 1970s. Rock was his life.

He created the Open Market, invented the Mont-de-Marsan Punk Festival, programmed the Clash, founded the Skydog Records label, and produced the legendary Metallic KO of Iggy Pop’s Stooges. Rest in peace Marc Zermati
