Two Oswego County residents, Christopher S. Rogers and Crystal Abbott died in Mexico, NY two-car accident

34-year-old Christopher S. Rogers, of Sandy Creek and 35-year-old Crystal L. Abbott, of Mexico have lost their lives in a fatal two-car accident that happened on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the intersection of State Route 3 and Munger Hill Road in Mexico, New Work.
According to officials, the incident happened when a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Rogers with Abbott as a passenger westbound on Munger Hill entered the intersection without stooping and collided with a 2004 Ford Flatbed truck driven by 35-year-old James E. Weston, of Mexico, heading northbound on Route 3.
Following the crash, the two Oswego County residents, Rogers and his passenger Abbott sustained serious injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. While Weston came out of the accident unhurt.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Mexico Fire Department and McFee Ambulance responded to the crash. Investigation into the cause of the is currently ongoing.
