Still saddened by the death of Michael Angelis. He was a reminder of my early days as an English teacher, when GCSE treated texts as something alive and exciting, not as exhibits in a museum. Boys from the Blackstuff remains a major piece of work.

A little bit of my childhood died today. He certainly *was* the voice of Thomas, and was by far the best narrator the show ever had. How many hours and hours of entertainment he provided in that soothing dulcet scouse. RIP Michael Angelis.
