Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.
This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.
It is with great sadness that the club has learned of the passing of our past President Mickey Coyle. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Alice, daughter Mary, son-in-law George and grandsons Paul and Ronan. Go raibh suaimhneas síoraí ar a anam.
The first picture below is from February 2017 when Mickey became our club president. The second is from February 2018 when Mickey handed over the Frankie Donnelly cup to our 2018 president Seamus McCartan. Club secretary Paula Cuddy and chairman Padraig McCallan are also in the photo. The third is of a visit by our club chairman and a few of the senior Men’s football team to Mickey’s family to mark the end of his year as president. The final picture is of a few of the U16 boys team visiting him after winning the Paul McGirr Ulster U16 club championship to celebrate his 90th birthday. Mickey was loved by everyone at the club and will be sadly missed.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as a family statement on the death is yet to be released.
