I am so sad and sorry about the loss of our good friend and colleague Misha Pavlinsky. At least he could see the excellent success of the ART-XC all sky survey completed. He was definitely one of the motors of tge Russian-German cooperation and one of the fathers of SRG.

Sad news from Moscow. Misha Pavlinsky passed away earlier today. He PI’ed ART-XC, and was the one who did most of the leg work for SRG *by far*, especially in the critical early years. Years of overwork and stress have taken the toll… without Misha, SRG would not have happened.
