Events in the Nigerian political field these days change
faster than the face of the sky and women’s
fashion.The claims and counter claims of victory by
the opposing contestants are so much,and made more
confusing by political jobbers who have taken from
INEC in announcing results.And to add to the uncertainties,there are at every other hour,news of
mass defections from one party to another. I dont
even believe anybody now,not even the news from
the radio and television broadcasts.
I chose this stand of not swallowing any Joseph
Goebel’s type of big news untill I see the final list of the winners on the ballot boxes.Our leaders are all
gurus in the game.So while we are in the streets
shouting ourselves hoarse,they are in the different 5-
star hotels arranging themselves,some stepping
down and receiving expenditure refunds from thier
opponents,while other step down for choppy positions promised.
So, fellow spectators,u can go ahead with ur
supporter wishes and prayers for ur candidates,but
do not fight over it.We are all brothers and sisters,and
will all settle down no matter who wins at the
end.NAIJA WE HAIL THEE.
