Kevin Herron was flying his wife, Holly, his 7-year-old son, Gavin, and his father, Paul, to South Carolina to visit family Friday night when his plane crashed into a ravine in Crawford County.
Tonight I spoke with a family friend of the Herron family in Checotah, grieving four family members right now. Paul, Kevin, Holly, and 7-year-old Gavin, died in a plane crash north of Fort Smith, Arkansas on Friday.
Paul, “PD” Herron, was a volunteer firefighter who loved the outdoors.
Kevin, Paul’s son, was a Marine veteran who served three deployments before returning to Checotah.
His wife, Holly, was also on board the plane. She was finishing school to become a teacher, and loved horses.
Little Gavin attended Marshall Elementary School in Checotah and loved legos and batman.Sending prayers and love to the family as they continue to mourn this tragedy.
