The family of Peyton Baumgarth asks “that we all remember to wear masks, wash hands frequently and follow guidelines. COVID19 is real and they want to remind students and parents to take these precautions in and outside of school.”

Peyton Baumgarth was 13 years old.

The 8th grader was quarantined on October 26. He started experiencing COVID19 symptoms and was taken to the hospital. He passed away this weekend.

@stltoday with sad news: Peyton Baumgarth is the first child to die of coronavirus in Missouri. He last attended school on Oct. 22 and began a quarantine last week. He was in the 8th grade.
