•• “Taqwa” in its idiomatic meaning: doing what God commanded, and abandoning what He forbade. God fearing God's punishment.. As for its linguistic meaning: prevention; That is, protecting something from what harms it, and from it is the saying of God Almighty (And protect them from the torment of hell).
•• So; For “taqwa” is one of the fruits of Ramadan fasting, and there is great wisdom in it from its legislation and purpose. For the one who abstains from food, drink, and sex during the day in Ramadan creates “piety” in his heart for fear of God.. And with this; For whoever does not attain “piety” will not attain the purpose of “fasting.”
•• permission; What is the path that leads to the highest levels of “piety” in Ramadan? How does fasting yield piety? The short answer: Through acts of worship; By following the commands of God Almighty and avoiding His prohibitions, hoping for His reward.. And the worship of fasting Ramadan achieves this divine concept, in order to draw closer to Him, the Most High, in a holy month in which the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained.. Fear and hope are two important means to achieve a higher degree of fasting, leading to piety.
•• And there are things that achieve the fruit of “piety” from fasting. I will suffice with seven: Arousing our resolve to carry out this great duty… Giving thanks to God when we abstain from permissible things, so we feel their importance in our lives… Purifying our pure hearts and purifying them from the vices of traits. .. and controlling our will with patience for fear of God .. as well as ridding our bodies of harmful deposits.
