Pixel 11 Pro: What Google Changed

 ·  1 min read

Google announced the Pixel 11 lineup on 12 August at its Made by Google event – the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL and 11 Pro Fold, alongside the Pixel Watch 5. They reached shelves on 20 August.

The lineup and pricing

Pixel 11 at $899, Pixel 11 Pro at $1099, Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1299.

The Pro is 6.3 inches and the Pro XL is 6.8. Both carry 16GB of memory with storage up to 1TB.

The compact flagship point

The 11 Pro is one of the few remaining phones that is genuinely small in the hand without cutting the camera system down. That has become a rare combination, and it is the strongest argument for this phone specifically.

Display and build

The Pro runs 2856×1280 at up to 3300 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader rather than an optical one – faster and more reliable when your fingers are damp.

Tensor G6

Google’s own chip, which has never competed on raw benchmark numbers and is built around on-device machine learning. That shows in the camera processing and the assistant features rather than in synthetic scores.

Battery and charging

4850 mAh in the Pro and 5115 in the XL. Charging is not fast by current standards – roughly an hour and twenty minutes from empty – and the software includes a charge limit at 80 percent plus adaptive charging that completes before your alarm.

Those battery-health features are genuinely useful and underused.

Software

Android 17, with the usual long support commitment.
