The International Booker Prize for Arabic Fiction will announce its long list of novels nominated for the prize for the year 2023 on January 26, according to the schedule posted on the award’s website, while the date for announcing the short-listed novels will be in March 2023, provided that the winner will be announced in May 2022 for the winner of her prize. Short Story Forum Award
The American University of the Middle East (AUM) announces the name of the winner of the Forum Award for the Arabic Short Story. The university will host the award ceremony on its campus in the first week of February 2023, in a manner consistent with the celebrations of the State of Kuwait on its official holidays in this month. There will also be an international Arab cultural program accompanying the celebration, with the participation of a group of Arab and international creative and educated personalities. The jury will hold its last meeting for this session, and then announce the winner of the award, who will receive a prize of (20 thousand US dollars) with a shield and a certificate. Each of the four short-listed writers will be awarded a prize of ($5,000 USD) along with a shield and certificate as well.
Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity
The results of the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity will announce the names of the winners in January 2023, and awards will be distributed during the creativity workshop in April 2023, in the fields of eloquent poetry (no less than 15 poems), short story (a collection of no less than 12 stories), novel, text Theatrical, children's literature, and this course is devoted to (a collection of poetry directed at children – from 8 to 12 years old).
