In addition to enabling women to drive vehicles, allowing cinemas to open, and entertainment events organized by the General Entertainment Authority; Including the organization of various celebrations that were keen to attract some international artists, as well as exhibitions and so on.

3 years of excellence

During this short period, the country witnessed work on a strategy to transfer the localization of the military industry inside Saudi Arabia by establishing the General Authority for Military Industries, whose main objectives include managing military procurement operations of weapons, ammunition, equipment, supplies, military clothing, and maintenance and operation contracts for arming the security and military authorities in the Kingdom, and contributing to the examination and acceptance of products. And services to ensure their conformity with the required specifications, taking into account that the priority is given to Saudi companies according to specific controls set by the Commission, and the issuance of manufacturing licenses for the public and private sectors, local and foreign, to establish military industries and complementary industries in the Kingdom, and setting incentives for the development of the military industries complementary to them.

On the security level, especially the fight against terrorism, the Presidency of State Security was established, which consisted of security sectors concerned with combating terrorism and its financing. At the highest levels of readiness to keep abreast of developments and developments, and to face all security challenges with a high degree of flexibility, readiness, and rapid action to face any emergency.

In terms of confronting international threats and terrorism surrounding the region and Islamic countries, Saudi Arabia has established two military alliances at the Arab and Islamic levels. The first of them is an Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen after the coup of the armed Houthi militia backed by Iran against the legitimate Yemeni government, which was declared on 6/5/1436 AH “Decisive Storm” and included more than 10 Gulf, Arab and Islamic countries to restore legitimacy to Yemen, and in response to an invitation Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi.

While the second alliance was what Saudi Arabia announced through the words of the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, on 3/3/1437 AH, to form the Islamic Military Alliance to fight terrorism in all its forms and types after it became a threat to the Islamic world, its people, its interests, and its stability. So far, the Islamic coalition includes 41 countries, and Riyadh recently witnessed the first conference of the Council of Defense Ministers of the coalition countries, whose decisions included the establishment of the coalition headquarters in Riyadh, hosted by the Saudi government.

Confronting extremism

In the intellectual aspect of countering extremist ideology, Saudi Arabia has launched, during the past 3 years, since the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques assumed power, two centers to counter extremist ideology. One of them is global, and they are the "Intellectual War Center" and "Etidal".

The Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, heads its board of trustees, the “Intellectual War Center”, which was launched by the Saudi Ministry of Defense. Extremism and terrorism, clarifying the correct legal approach in issues of extremism and terrorism, and presenting intellectual initiatives to many parties inside and outside the Kingdom, in addition to intellectual initiatives for the Islamic Military Coalition to Combat Terrorism, and among the goals also is to present the values and principles of the true religion with a discourse that takes into account the differences in concepts, cultures and civilizations in line with its context. Modern, benefiting from studies and research through the establishment of scientific and intellectual platforms, global forums, research chairs, survey and analysis tools, in addition to spreading through the media and communication with the establishment of global partnerships, organizing conferences, seminars and panel discussions, especially with centers of influence and foresight in order to achieve positive expansion and spread, And launching public campaigns to direct public opinion to engage communities to strengthen the dominance of the moderate vision.

Specialized experts from inside and outside the Kingdom work in the “Intellectual War Center” by virtue of the universality of the center’s goals, and that it is diverse in content and discourse to include all groups covered by its messages. To combat the extremist ideology that terrorism adopts as a base to mislead its targets from all countries of the world, as it was able to attract a number of deceived people from more than 100 countries, including people who were born, raised and educated in non-Islamic countries, affected by the messages of terrorist extremism that it communicates electronically in the absence of access In the details of a number of them, especially what was focused on arousing religious passion, or the vacuum in the level of efficiency of the material, which made it less effective.

Countering extremist ideology

On the other hand, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and US President Donald Trump launched the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology “Etidal”, which is based in the capital, Riyadh, and employs 350 young Saudi men and women, in addition to that representatives for the center’s board of directors will be chosen from 12 members from countries and organizations. The position of Secretary General of the Center is Dr. Nasser Al-Bogami. The vision of the Etidal Center aims to be the first reference in the world in combating extremist ideology and promoting a culture of moderation. The Etidal Center has 4 goals, which are prevention, partnership, awareness, and confrontation, while the foundations of its strategy are based on 3 pillars (intellectual, digital, and media).
