Sativa Transue Cause of death: Sativa Transue, 26-year-old, of Milton, was identified as the woman killed in a Mexican hotel room, Cancun. Sativa, who was a graduate of Cheney High School and Eastern Washington University passed away tragically after she went on a trip for the Thanksgiving holiday in Cancun with her boyfriend, report says she was found dead on Saturday, November 27, 2021, after she sent a text to her friends saying she was in an altercation with her boyfriend Friday night. According to her family her boyfriend was reportedly arrested on murder charges.
Account to her sister on the GoFundMe Sativa left with her boyfriend for Cancun Mexico on Thanksgiving which they arrived there safely and sent beautiful pictures of the views on Friday, telling her sister that she was enjoying the sunshine. Later Friday night, November 26, 2021, she sent texts to her friends saying she has gotten into a fight with her boyfriend and that she needed stitches. She couldn’t recall what happened. She also stated that Sativa’s friends after not hearing from her were concerned and went to the police department and gave all the details they has to the FBI.
Mykayla Bolieu says they got a call around 9 am saying Sativa passed away. she said the case is being treated as a homicide and they heard through the grapevine that her boyfriend was arrested and he was transferred to a Mexican prison. She stated that they need help with the costs of bringing her body and belongings back to the United States for an autopsy report and thorough investigation. and any leftover funds will be donated to a domestic violence charity in Sativa’s name.
