The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) revealed the largest donors in humanitarian funding for the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came at the top of donors with a rate of 27% of the total international aid, thus occupying the Kingdom as one of the countries that interacted most with the disaster significantly, within the United States The United Nations, the European Commission, and the United Nations Emergency Fund, and this is part of the giving that distinguished the Kingdom during its humanitarian journey and since its establishment. The Kingdom ranked third in the world in providing humanitarian aid and the largest donor to Yemen during the year 2021 AD, according to the United Nations financial tracking platform, in addition to its rapid response. For any humanitarian disaster and its historical commitment to provide aid to several sister or afflicted countries.

During the donors' conference to support the victims of the earthquake in Syria and Turkey in Brussels last March, the general supervisor of the "King Salman Relief Center" Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince directed directly, since the earthquake, to operate an air bridge equipped with rescue crews and emergency medical and relief teams that included 16 aircraft Carrying shelter, food and health materials. This was done with the participation of the Saudi “Civil Defense” and the “Red Crescent” as a realistic embodiment of the Kingdom’s permanent commitment and close solidarity with affected communities around the world. During that, the center worked to establish 3,000 temporary homes in both Syria and Turkey, and implemented several Relief projects costing about $73.3 million, in partnership with UN, international and local organizations.

When we go back a little, a month from now, and during the horrific earthquake that struck Turkey and parts of Syria and the humanitarian disasters that accompanied this event, we will not go beyond the biased media and partisan campaigns that tried to challenge the Kingdom’s efforts and its direct interaction with the event. The language of numbers does not lie, and the United Nations statistics do not. Compliment, and the spending that Saudi Arabia spends on the afflicted peoples around the world is like the sun in the fourth day of the day. It is not covered by the sieve of ingratitude, fabrication, provocations, and politicized extortion against the Kingdom and its leadership. These are campaigns within media and international circles directed at this great entity since its establishment, detracting from the efforts of its leadership, obscuring its voluntary work, and distorting its humanitarian orientations. But it will soon be blown away in front of the hordes of aid, tons of food, bridges of relief planes, and the generosity of giving!
