The steps of the national tourism sector are accelerating towards the future, enlightened by its strategy and the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and its projects and initiatives that work non-stop, announcing tourist destinations with geographical and historical diversity, and highlighting natural resources, archaeological treasures and historical places that meet the aspirations of tourists.

And the Kingdom has become a destination for tourists from countries in the region and the world, until the number of visas issued – even before the Corona pandemic – reached about 450,000 visas, since the launch of the tourist visa by the Saudi Tourism Authority in the year 2019, by targeting 49 countries as a first stage, and facilitating obtaining Tourist visas electronically or through entry ports to the Kingdom within specific regulatory controls.

The authority has prepared programs for tourist attractions, and has worked on activating tourism investment and activating the role of the private sector.

Marketing and promotional campaigns were launched for tourist destinations in the Kingdom, the latest of which was the “Saudi Summer” program, which was launched by the “Spirit of Saudi” platform under the slogan “Our Summer on Jock”, to promote 11 tourist destinations until the end of next September, with tourism experiences that exceeded 500 experiences, provided by 250 partners. from the private sector.

Tourism is one of the pillars of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, to contribute to diversifying the base of the national economy, attracting investments, increasing sources of income, and providing job opportunities for citizens. One million visitors by 2030, of which 55 million are from abroad, in addition to 45 million from home, and one million job opportunities are provided; And an increase of 10% of the country's gross domestic product.

Towards new horizons for local tourism, cruise cruises, which are like a giant floating resort, were launched from the port of Jeddah to discover the treasures of the Red Sea, and it includes many packages that allow the traveler to have fun during the summer vacation.

The Saudi Tourism Authority also announced the “Saudi Expert” window to support partners and develop tourism products, as it prepared a program dedicated to helping the tourism system to raise the level of services and products offered and to enhance cooperation between them, and other related services, in addition to another program dedicated to helping international partners to Engaging in the tourism system in the Kingdom, designing and developing high-end tourism offers, providing training programs, developing joint marketing initiatives and other services that aspire to develop the sector as a whole.
