21-year-old Norman Lee Pickens have been taken into custody in connection to the May 8 shooting that injured four persons at the Aventura Mall, reports say.
The Doral man was apprehended Monday night on charges of three counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder. Detectives say an eye witness identified Pickens as the shooter caught on footage firing shots inside the mall.
18-year-old Chrisey Pressley, of Doral, was arrested earlier in June in the Saturday afternoon incident. Police said he has been charged for illegal carrying a concealed fireman.
Three people were reportedly injured by gunfire as they made their way out of the mall during the shooting. Investigators say the shooting stemmed from physical altercation between two groups.
Pressley was seen on footage showing off a weapon, as he made his way out of the mall, although he did not fire any shots during the time of the incident, according to court documents. He has been booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Lieu on a bond of $900,000.
