In a strange incident, a 64-year-old Italian woman hid her dead mother's body in a box for several months. to continue receiving her pension, according to local media.
The woman was found dead in an apartment in Paderno Doniano, a suburb of Milan, after neighbors informed the police that they had not seen the woman for days.
And the Italian media stated that, as soon as they arrived at the house, the police officers found the almost completely mummified body of a 90-year-old woman, wrapped in “plastic food wrapping tape”, and it is believed that her daughter (64 years) hid it.
Neighbors say she told them her mother had moved to a nursing home in Verona, about 150 kilometers east of Milan. Police did not find the woman's name in the property's residence records.
The death of the woman was not registered, and her daughter, who had no source of income, was receiving her pension in a joint bank account, and according to reports, the elderly woman passed away naturally.
