Shona was one of my best friends in High School, the first person I Came Out to as Gay one tear filled NYE high school party. She enthusiastically accepted my invitation to be my date to my High School Graduation Prom. We stayed connected for a few years afterward but then drifted apart as so often happens. We reconnected online about 15 years ago and actually managed to visit in person a few years back. She was and continued to be a deeply creative, kind, loving, tender soul. I will miss her presence on this earth immensely, as will all the people she touched with her smile, openness, and kindness. Rest in Peace dear Shona.
