Wilbur Smith Death – Cause of Death – On the 13th of November 2021, Wilbur Addison Smith, a Northern Rhodesian-born South African-British novelist passed away. Wilbur was specialising in historical fiction about international involvement in Southern Africa across four centuries, seen from the viewpoints of both black and white families.

Wilbur’s first published novel When the Lion Feeds gained him a film contract. After his film contract, Wilbur was inspired to become a full-time writer, and he developed three long chronicles of the South African experience which all became best-sellers. The World Forum on the Future of Sport Shooting Activities gave him the Inaugural Sport Shooting Ambassador Award in 2002.

The news about the death of Wibur was publicized in a newsletter on Smith’s website. He unexpectedly died in his Cape Town home on Saturday at the age of 88. We extend our condolences to his family at this sad time.

Bertrand Dsouza said in a tweet; “Just heard this news, and like me who absorbed every word and got inspired to live a life filled with adventure, I’m sure many would be left with a void that can’t be replaced by his demise. Your tales will echo forever. RIP Wilbur Smith.”
