An investigation is ongoing after a triple homicide at an apartment complex in Buenaventura Lakes Tuesday, Osceola County Sheriff Office say.
Officials responded at about 6:50 a.m. to the scene on Gardner Lane and Royal Palm Drive. Arriving deputies located two persons suffering a fatal gunshot wound. A third person was found inside a residence close to the scene. The three victims identified only as two adults and a minor aged between 16 or 17 years old were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sheriff Marcos López.
A person of interest was identified and taken into custody after a dead-end with the police.
Sheriff Marcos López say the person of interest, who was also a neighbor of the victims, has been charged with grand theft auto and armed burglary to occupied dwelling. The unidentified person was taken to the hospital for treatments for injuries which is not related to the incident. The person of interest has a history of mental illness and has been Baker Acted multiple times.
Then victims identification is pending until next of kin’s notification.
