Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.
This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a local Labor stalwart and a personal dear friend of mine, Ted Grace.
Locals would remember Ted from many different walks of life, be it during his humble beginnings as an air conditioning consultant, during his time spent advocating for our local community or when he served as a community representative in several prominent positions including:
Alderman of Fairfield City Council (1977-1985), Chairman of the Prospect County Council electricity utility (1981-1984), Federal Member for Fowler (1984-1998) and as a proud member of the Mt Pritchard Labor Party branch, where he served for many, many years.
Ted was always a fantastic mate and a firm believer in the core Labor values and doing what was right for the people and his community. Ted eventually moved with his family to Cairns to enjoy his well-earned retirement.
On behalf of the Cabramatta Electorate, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Ted’s wife Connie and son David. Ted was a brilliant man who did so much for our community. He will be dearly missed.

Sadly I heard today of the passing of former Federal Member for Fowler Ted Grace, aged 89.
Ted served our community as a councillor at Fairfield City Council before being elected as the Member for Fowler in 1984.
He served the community in this capacity until his retirement in 1998 and was dedicated to the people of his electorate.
I pass on my condolences to his family and friends.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as a family statement on the death is yet to be released.
