A teenager has been hospitalized in critical condition following a shooting incident near the Harrison Homes public housing complex Thursday night, officials are currently seeking information to locate a possible suspect, according to Peoria Police Department.
Peoria police responded to the 2600 block of West Montana Street at about 6:50 p.m. on a ShotSpotter alert indicating about five rounds being fired in the area. Arriving officers located a teen suffering from gunshot wounds to the arm. The unidentified teen was transported to an area hospital for treatments. He is expected to survive. Multiple shell casings were located across streets close to the scene.
According to investigators, a building in the area was also struck by gunfire, visible bullet holes were seen at the rear side of the residence. No additional information was immediately made available. No words on any possible suspect.
