The Middle East Strategic Alliance Center in Riyadh, whose establishment will be completed in Riyadh and the announcement of the accession of the participating countries in 2018, will have an active role in promoting peace and security in the region and the world with the participation of many countries. The establishment of the center in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, is an embodiment of the Kingdom's active role in serving the issues of the region and the world, and an affirmation of its pioneering leadership experience and its pivotal role in addressing regional crises, confronting terrorism and extremism, settling conflicts and crises, and confronting terrorist organizations that seek to create a political vacuum in Yemen. The leaders of Arab and Islamic countries, at their summit with US President Donald Trump, expressed the readiness of a number of Islamic countries to participate in the Islamic Military Coalition to Fight Terrorism, to provide a reserve force of 34,000 soldiers to support operations against terrorist organizations when needed.
The center will also have a distinguished role in promoting joint action among the countries of the region to face any challenges or dangers, and work to combat piracy to maintain security and stability and avoid disruption of ports and sea lanes for ships, and to promote consensus in positions and visions among the countries of the region to support the achievement of strategic partnership between them on the one hand and to strengthen their efforts in Addressing its issues in international forums with correct visions.
