The sun rises on the sacred feelings, and a new day begins in which I am required to do something different and better than the previous one. My camera and lenses are not the ones that will lead me to reach a picture that shortens a thousand words, but my real weapon is the power of focus and an alert eye. The faces of the elderly, the smiles of the children, the reverence of the supplicants, the humanity of the security men, all of this is tied to a fraction of a second. She speaks for herself. I return to the office after being exhausted by fatigue, to bet my colleague, photographer Madani Asiri, that my photos will excel. It is a competition of friends and nothing more. The challenge lies in whose picture is taken on the front page. If my colleague Madani’s photos are better, I do not hesitate to praise them. We are all in the Okaz boat. And we want to sail it to outperform everyone else.
