I would have a.GIF that said “Don’t attempt this with RSOF Kids!” Jagex has now reduced the price of RuneScape gold alch for nature runes down lower than 70GP. My screenshot from Other RS Media shows that certain players were furious when they discovered this. Prior to today’s hidden update you could make them alch at 3gp. The alch price of all other runes have been lowered also.
It seems that the group needs multiple fighting styles. This will make it difficult to bring teams together. Armour seems to be almost a requirement now, since prayers are now blocked and aren’t blocking all other options.
They also have reduced the effectiveness and efficacy of prayer in PvM. I’d be fine with pvp. However, when prayers to protect aren’t completely efficient, bosses will be more difficult (and the dungeoneering process – see above). Prayer-boosting gear was also removed. This means it is more costly to use turmoil and soul splitting, and slows down the slayer if they are not used.
Thirdly, there are some decisions they made using the armour/weapon system that I do not like. Shields are unable to track offensive statistics and I’m not certain what the defender’s role is. Gloves and boots each lose offensive stats. The boosts to offensive power are relative and buy OSRS gold not absolute (i.e. +2 percent is now proportional to +8 while critical hit chance remains the only option for offensive boosts. This seriously hurts faster, weaker weapons like rapier. Rapier has had its speed hidden so that it can only be a CLS with the stab, not slash.
