Maple Ridge Shooting – Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a shooting report in Maple Ridge that has left multiple people injured.
Maple Ridge Police Department says the incident happened at about 4 p.m. on Thursday. Officials arrived on the scene at McIntyre Court, north of Dewdney Trunk Road, and located a number of victims suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot. the victims were transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
Preliminary investigations determined a verbal altercation broke out between multiple persons which lasted for about 15 minutes and later escalated to shots being fired by someone among the groups. Responding police arrested three men from the scene. Eight police vehicles, two ambulances, a supervisor vehicle, two fire trucks, and four unmarked police vehicles were on the scene.
It is not immediately known how many victims there were in the incident and a motive was not immediately released. This is a developing story.
