The hobby lost another great one today, Tim Leventry. Tim was a true artist in every sense of the word. Most of the hand lettered buses you see on the road today in SoCal were touched by Tim’s brush. Tim was the man behind many of our company logos like Big Wednesday, West Coast Bays, So Cal Treffen and many more. His artistic talent was something you don’t see everyday. He was my friend and I will miss him very much. Thank you for everything you did for my family and this wonderful VW community. Until me meet again man.

Our VW community lost one of the best greatest VW artists, Tim Leventry today. Tim was a such talented artist. Even you don’t know him, pretty sure you have seen some of his work. Many of the hand lettered Buses on the road today especially in Southern California are brushed by Tim. Our hotVWs sales flap Bus and our OCI Media logo are also his work.
Thank you for everything you did for this wonderful VW community. Rest in Peace Tim.
We just learned of the California painter Tim Leventry’s disappearance A passionate well known for his VW aircooled decorations, all made by hand and in a retro and vintage style… Present on all meetings around Los Angeles, some vehicles decorated by his art are even today in France. RIP Tim!
It is with a heavy heart I have to say this. Got a call this morning that a dear friend to us and the volkswagen community has passed away. Tim Leventry was a great guy. You may know him for his artwork all over all types of media, from lettering volkeswagen and hot rods to art shows like the Pagent of the Master in Laguna Beach, he has done the artwork for Familienfest from the beginning when SV2S started the show back in 1995 and he continued to do it for us when we started the show back up. Tim was an amazing artist and even better person he will be missed my many. R.I.P. Tim Lenentry
Unbelievably sad 😢 to hear the passing of another #vwfamily member #timleventry I met Tim in the early 90s. I actually sold him some bus parts. Since then I would talk to him at ever VW meet, about his latest art work or his trips back East. He had the best stories and one liners. You’ll be missed my friend 😞🙏. RIP
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as a family statement on the death is yet to be released.
