Van Cooper Obituary: |Homicide Investigation|
At 10:25 am, #FayPD officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting along the 300 block of S. Cool Springs Street. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male that had been shot. The male was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Van Cooper (B/M, 33 years of age) of the 300 block of S. Cool Springs Street.
His next of kin has been notified. Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have assumed the investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available. Anyone with information regarding this homicide investigation is asked to contact Detective J. Arnold at (910) 824-9539
