Phillip Troublefield Death: 32-year-old Phillip Troublefield, of Warsaw, and 24-year-old Debbie Castillo Cortez, of Warsaw, have been identified by authorities as the victims of the Monday fatal shooting in Tanglewood Apartments, according to reports.
Officials with Warsaw Police responded to shots fired report at Tanglewood Apartments located at the intersection of Yancey and Matthews Street, at the evening hours of Monday. Arriving officers located 4 persons suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Troublefield and Cortez were declared dead at the scene by the EMS crew. The other two victims were transported to the hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
Preliminary investigations depict none of the victims of the shooting were residents of Tanglewood Property. Many residence windows were struck by bullets and the victim’s car was located crashed into a parked vehicle inside the residential complex.
The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Warsaw police department at 910-293-7816.
