Katrina Rose Lipp and Tiffanie Amber Rivera Death – Cause of Death – On Thanksgiving night, 19-year-old Katrina Rose Lipp, of Brainerd and 21-year-old Tiffanie Amber Rivera, of Blackduck, both died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 210 east of Brainerd. Police said Katrina was the driver of the vehicle that crashed and Rivera was the passenger of that vehicle. Katrina was wearing a seat belt while Rivera was not.
Minnesota State Patrol said that the incident happened on Thursday, 25th of November 2021. Katrina was traveling west on the highway near White Pine Drive near the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport when the vehicle crossed the median of the road. Police said the car was struck by a pickup truck traveling east killing both Katrina and Rivera at the scene.
74-year-old Robert John Heggerston who was the driver of the pickup truck and a passenger, Jeanette Jane Heggerston, 74, of Walnut Grove, were taken to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby with non-life threatening injuries. The report did not say if alcohol was involved. Investigations are ongoing.
