William A. “Bill” Peters Death – Obituary, Funeral, Cause Of Death
William A. “Bill” Peters, 53, of Shirley passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at home surrounded by his Wife and Children after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 24, 1968 in Anderson to George Merrill and Virginia Lee (Moon) Peters.
Bill retired from MacAllister Machinery Indianapolis following 20+ years of service. He enjoyed collecting and rebuilding square body trucks. He was an Accepted Masonic Fraternity member for 15 years. He was a Past Master of Mechanicsburg Lodge #392 and a current member of Shirley Lodge #531 as well as a member of The Royal Arch Masons of Middletown, Chapter #143. He was fluent in many masonic lectures and enjoyed participating in degree work.
Left to cherish his memory include is his wife, Paula (Hampton) Peters, of Shirley, daughter, Danielle Peters of Shirley, other children, Austin VanHook of Shirley, Bailey (Kaleb Smith)VanHook of Knightstown, and Caroline Coomer of Shirley, Granddaughter, Oaklynn Smith of Knightstown; Mother, Virginia (Moon) Peters of Kennard, sister, Lucinda (Brandon McCartney) Mitchell of of Noblesville, brother, Michael Peters of New Castle; Father and Mother In law, Caroll and Sandy Alexander of Shirley, Sister’s in law Chastity (Scott) Davenport of Indianapolis, Carlie Alexander of Indianpolis, brother in law, Michael (Serena) Hampton of Ohio; several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, George Merrill Peters, Maternal Grandparents, Ardith and Florence Moon, Paternal Grandparents, Edmond and Wanda Peters: Niece, Kaytlyn Hampton; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Wilkinson Church of Christ located at 7293 N State Road 109, Wilkinson, Indiana 46186 with Masonic Service at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Wilkinson Church of Christ in Wilkinson and will be officiated by Bill’s best friend Chaplain, Kevin Vickery. Burial to follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Liming Family Funeral Home in Shirley.
